I’m Allison, the owner and designer of my little dream business Paper Hearts Invitations here in Morgantown, West Virginia. After graduating college and earning my bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, I started working at a local newspaper. I absolutely loved my job, but I wanted another fun, creative outlet for my spare time. In 2011 I designed my first save the date card and I’ve been hooked ever since. I get giddy over the fun, the beauty, and the love in the wedding industry. I really enjoy telling your story through beautiful, custom stationery! I love working with clients who are just as excited about stationery as I am. Think we’d be a good fit? Send me a message to get started!
FACT ONE // I’m the mama to a 2-year-old little boy with another little boy on the way! My due date with my first was August 25 and my due date with my second is August 19, so I’m happy to be reusing all of my summer maternity clothes again! I work from home while spending time with my son so my office hours aren’t always set to a schedule, but I like it that way!
FACT TWO // I started designing wedding invitations because I loved ordering swatch books and looking through all of the colors, no joke. I would spend hours pulling swatches and making pretty color combinations.
FACT THREE // I grew up in the small town of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Cal U where I was the captain of the dance team. My husband is a Penn State grad, so we love spending weekends in State College! Bob actually proposed on the steps of Old Main making Penn State even more special for us. Morgantown is pretty supportive of their Mountaineers, so we tend to get strange looks when we wear our Happy Valley gear around town, but I don’t mind. We are…
FACT FOUR // I love to run and it’s a great stress reliever for the hectic spring wedding season. Some think I’m crazy, but when I’m training I look forward to the long 7-8 mile run days to clear my head and push myself. I’ve completed 4 half marathons and I’m excited to get back out there next year (running while pregnant is hard stuff!)
